Development of a method for recording building data in existing buildings using a 3D laser scanner
Building data can be defined and recorded in many different ways: Taking the geometric dimensions of a building as an example, different ways of recording them open up. In addition to the classic, analogue recording of building data and ( potentially ) subsequent digitisation, there are other approaches to recording building information directly in digital form, for example through the use of laser scanners or drones. This form of data acquisition is particularly suitable for building data modelling of existing buildings.

As part of the development of a method for recording building data in existing buildings using 3-laser scanners, a recommendation for action was formulated which, on the one hand, represents instructions for model creation and, on the other hand, deals with the post-processing of the recorded point cloud and transfer to an authoring software.
