Invitation to the Kompetenzforum BAUEN NEU DENKEN 27.01.2023
Four experts on sustainable and resource-efficient construction kicked off the event in September 2022: Carsten Boell from INTERBODEN Group, Dr. Katharina Simon from Living Lab NRW, Jonathan Lunkenheimer from Architects for Future and Tabea Dörries from Concular.
Enthused by the positive response of the participants, the next Kompetenzforum BAUEN NEU DENKEN will take place on 27.01.2023 from 5 pm in the FZH building on the Freudenberg campus of the University of Wuppertal. This time we will be looking at the topic of sustainability + digitalisation.
Four renowned experts from the BIM Institute at the University of Wuppertal, the LIST Group, Madaster Germany GmbH and our course leader in the part-time Master's programme M.Sc. Sustainable construction urban mining, Prof. Anja Rosen, will present their ideas, projects and visions on the topic of sustainability + digitalisation and why digitalisation is indispensable for the change towards a sustainable and circular construction industry. This will be followed by a discussion with all speakers and guests.
Those who cannot be there live will have the opportunity to follow the event via a livestream (YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@berufsbegleitendstudieren8944) and to ask questions in a chat (Particify: https://ars.uni-wuppertal.de/p/28277428), which will then be answered by the panel of experts. The whole thing is moderated by David J. Becher. We think it's a great format - we're looking forward to it!

Inspired by the presentations and the discussion, we can then continue to exchange ideas and network in the pleasant atmosphere of the FZH building on the Freudenberg campus, Rainer-Gruenter-Straße, while enjoying culinary delicacies and seeing how we can better shape the path from a resource-intensive construction industry to a sustainable circular economy in construction.
One possibility, at least with regard to the education and training of young professionals, is certainly our part-time Master's programme in Sustainable construction urban mining ((www.s-um.de), which started in October 2022 with 12 pioneers under the leadership of professors Annette Hillebrandt and Anja Rosen.
We hope you will join us and look forward to lively discussions with you.
