BIMKommunal - Further training in the construction and real estate industry
Building Information Modeling (BIM), the digital method of planning, building, managing and, if necessary, converting and demolishing properties, is currently one of the biggest innovations in the construction sector and at the same time one of the most significant challenges for the entire industry.
The greatest leverage for BIM implementation in the medium to long term will come from the commissioning of BIM (pilot) projects. To date, a small number of municipalities in North Rhine-Westphalia have initiated isolated projects using the BIM method and/or are developing strategies for BIM implementation. The majority of local authorities are still taking a wait-and-see approach. A lack of BIM expertise is often the reason for their reluctance. In addition, existing information and sample projects rarely and inadequately reflect the specific needs of public building owners.
